FAQs
Will it be messy? I'd be lying if I said it wasn't, however we do pride ourselves on leaving each property as we have found it and floor protection has come a long way in recent times!
Will there be much disruption? Obviously there will be in the areas in which we are working during work hours. Outside of working hours we will leave the areas as tidy as possible.
How long will it take? This can be a bit of a 'ball of string' situation but to give a rough guide:
To plaster an entire room including ceiling allow 1 ?days
To take down, replace and plaster a ceiling allow 2 ½ days
To repair a damaged wall or ceiling and re-plaster allow 1 day
How long until I can decorate? Again the answer to this is not straightforward as so much depends on several different factors such as substrate, ventilation and temperature. But as a guide a plastered wall is normally ready to decorate in around 5 days.
Is it expensive? The main costs involved with plastering always tend to be the skilled labour. But for the huge aesthetic benefits associated with a newly plastered room, no, I wouldn't consider it to be expensive.
